2024 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

~July The DOVIA Board held a planning session for the remainder of the calendar year and onboarded new board members. We do have some committee positions still available .

~Update from AL!VE

Join our initiative to recognize volunteer engagement professionals by advocating for an official occupational code with the Department of Labor - US Bureau of Labor Statistics.  You can help (but take action before August 12, 11:59 AM)!  

 AL!VE's CVA (Certification in Volunteer Administration) Study Group starts August 7.  

It will be led by facilitators who have earned their CVA certification.

• July 20:  You MUST Register by this date to join the study group *
• July 24:  we will meet to review the study resources and an overview of chapters one and two of the textbook. 
• August 7 - September 25:  We will meet every Wednesday at 12:00pm ET for eight weeks. The study schedule is based on reading 1-2 chapters of the CVA textbook, discussing those chapters and reviewing sample scenarios during the calls.

Plan ahead: We will  host a full-day training with AL!VE in October. Budget now as registration will open in September.
